To join the DTA-NSW complete the following steps:

1. Read the membership criteria
2. Decide which Level is applicable to you
3. Send in the application form with payment to the DTA-NSW.

Membership is applicable to residents of New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory.

MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

There are three (3) levels of membership.

Level 1 Members

Graduates or holders of one of the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Applied Science (Diversional Therapy)*
2. Bachelor of Applied Science (Leisure and Health)*
3. Bachelor of Applied Science (Therapeutic Recreation)
4. Bachelor of Health Science (Leisure and Health)
5. Diploma of Health Science (Leisure and Health)*
6. Diploma of Diversional Therapy*
7. Diploma of Arts Aged Care (Diversional Therapy)*

8. Other qualifications,
   of a kind considered by The Diversional Therapy Association of Australia National Council (DTAANC) Education Advisory Committee to be at least an equivalent standard of qualification and experience referred to in sub paragraphs (a) to (g)

Level 1 members shall be entitled to three (3) votes at any meeting of the Association.

Level 2 Members

Graduates or holders of one of the following:

1. Certificate IV Community Services (Leisure and Health)
2. Certificate IV Community Services (Lifestyle and Leisure)
3. Certificate IV in Health and Recreation
4. other qualifications of a kind considered by The Diversional Therapy Association of Australia National Council (DTAANC) Education Advisory Committee to be at least an equivalent standard of qualification referred to in sub paragraphs (a), (b) & (c).
5. or,
   
   those employed in a salaried position in the field of diversional therapy and not defined in Level 1

Level 2 members shall be entitled to two (2) votes at any meeting of the Association.

Level 3 Members

1. Any student enrolled in a course approved for Level 1 membership by The Diversional Therapy Association of Australia National Council.

Level 3 members shall be entitled to one (1) vote at any meeting of the Association.

FEES

• Joining Membership Fee
  - Level 1 and Level 2 $130.00 (inc. GST)
  
  (Includes: membership badge, professional development achievement record book & above benefits)
• Continuing Annual Membership Fee
  Level 1 Membership Renewal requires 15 points of education that is gained throughout the year.
  
  - Level 1 and Level 2 $115.00 per year (inc. GST)
  
  (Payable January of each year)
• Student Membership
  - Level 3 $35.00 per year (inc. GST)

Financial members of other State Associations of Diversional therapy and others as deemed acceptable by The Diversional Therapy Association of New South Wales.
